Frederick Raynal and the Gloomywood studio have successfully concluded the crowdfunding for their new retro survival adventure 2Dark. The French developer raised close to €34,000, reaching their goal in community funding after a thirty-day Ulule campaign.
More than a thousand supporters backed 2Dark, the new game by acclaimed designer Raynal (Alone in the Dark, Little Big Adventure) with contributors to the Gloomywood Citizen tier and above receiving access to the alpha and beta versions of the game. New backers will still be able to support 2Dark through a beta program which will be live from the 1st of December and can be accessed here.
2Dark is a visually unique retro survival adventure experience, where players will need to solve puzzles and procure weapons, while finding children and surviving the lethal dangers lurking in the shadows. The game uses an innovative voxel graphic rendering style designed in-house at Gloomywood.
2Dark is set for a late 2015 release for PC, Mac and Linux.
