Feral Interactive has announced that DiRT 3 Complete Edition, the definitive version of the award-winning off-road and rally racing game DiRT 3, will be released for Mac later this month. Originally developed and published for PC and consoles, DiRT 3 Complete Edition is the latest of Codemasters’ world-renowned racing games to be brought to the Mac by Feral, following the successful launches of GRID 2 Reloaded Edition and F1 2013.
DiRT 3 Complete Edition captures the intense thrill of off-road racing in a globe-trotting series of electrifying events, and features over 50 years of iconic rally cars and off-road vehicles to be raced through the snow and dirt. Players will showcase their speed, skills and nerve as they kick up the dust on Kenyan safari trails, cut a dash through muddy forest roads in Finland and slide round icy mountain circuits in Aspen, Colorado as they take on a wide range of events including Rally, Rallycross, Trailblazer and more.
Gamers will also express themselves on freestyle obstacle courses as they jump, drift and spin their way through the Gymkhana discipline, an exhilirating stunt event inspired by American rally driver and YouTube phenomenon Ken Block. Players will put the pedal to the metal in a stunning collection of rugged rides including all-terrain trucks, open wheel buggies plus classic cars including the Audi Quattro, a 1960s Mini Cooper S, and Ken Block's 2011 Ford Fiesta WRC.
DiRT 3 Complete Edition expands DiRT 3 with all avaialble add-on content, including 18 additional cars and 12 new routes at two locations set at the iconic Monte Carlo region and an X-Games Asia event featuring multi-car Rallycross racing in downtown Tokyo.
"DiRT 3 Complete Edition combines masterful production values with exhilarating, edge-of-control racing," said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. "The handling is expertly implemented to give all players a true taste of the messiest motorsport going."
Pricing, system requirements and a minisite dedicated to DiRT 3 Complete Edition for the Mac will be revealed closer to the release date.
