Milestone s.r.l., Italy's leading videogame developer for consoles and PC, and the world's foremost motorcycle videogame developer, has released a gameplay video dedicated to the Sierra Nevada track in Ride, playable starting March 20, 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows PC, Steam, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The Sierra Nevada is home to some of the most distinctive and beloved mountain passes in the United States. A series of roadways wind through the Sierra Nevada valleys, with fast stretches through woodland and the tight corners of the mountain sections presenting the greatest challenges. The Sonora Pass connects the communities of Sonora in the west and Bridgeport in the east. The extremely steep road - exceeding 8% along most of the route, with a maximum gradient of 26% - winds along narrow tortuous routes between Kennedy Meadows and Leavitt Meadows. Being able to ride the Sonora Pass on an Aprilia RSV4 R ABS - the street version of the bike that dominated the 2014 WSBK season, winning both the Riders' World Championship and the Manufacturers' World Championship - is simply breath-taking.
