The first big Fractured Space update of 2015 adds a host of new content to the game, with the first new ship from manufacturer Titan Defence Systems and the introduction of a skin and loadout system all available to players currently enjoying Edge Case Games’ team-based, tactical space combat title.
The update introduces the following features:
- First ship from new manufacturer: With this update, third manufacturer Titan Defence Systems marks its debut into the universe of Fractured Space. Its first ship, the “Corvette”, is a general support craft with the manufacturer's completely unique visual style. The Corvette also boasts unique “Smart weaponry” and the ability to reduce enemy damage for itself and allies.
- New “Enforcer” ship: The latest ship from manufacturer Zarek Industries is a close-ranged specialist, constructed especially for the domination of important objectives.
- Skin System: A new skin system and four ship skins have been added, including one community-selected skin, available to all who purchase the Early Access version of the game, and a new legendary skin.
- Leaderboards: Fractured Space’s space pilots can keep track of their stats and battle achievements via leaderboards.
- Loadout System: The new loadout system allows players to customise the game’s gigantic capital spaceships before battle.
The new features in this update were chosen in partnership with the input of the Fractured Space community, in keeping with Edge Case’s firm commitment to an open development process, including weekly playtest sessions with the team and shared development plans.
