Deco Digital & Bevel Studios have launched their philosophical first person puzzler, Pneuma: Breath of Life, on both Steam and Xbox One today for £15.99 / $19.99 USD. This is the first game fuelled by the power of Unreal Engine 4 to release on Xbox One and is ready to challenge player’s expectations of videogame storytelling through unique mechanics; all through the eyes of a god. A new launch day trailer has also been released to coincide with the game's Steam and Xbox One release, with a very subtle hint at where the story may lead.
The story of Pneuma is one that can be only be told through the medium of videogames, where players explore the fundamental nature of being through the inner monologue of award winning voice actor, Jay Britton. The developers hope that by the end of the game, players will have have their own unique take on the experience and be able to create their own theories about Pneuma and his world... and maybe even question their own.
In the game players solve difficult lateral thinking puzzles that will challenge your ability to think outside the box by moving doors, bridges and entire rooms using a unique observation mechanic through the power of you mind. Unreal Engine 4 takes this experience to the next level through Pneuma’s godlike roman environments, which can also be experienced in virtual reality mode on the Steam version with the Oculus Rift DK2.
The Steam version has launched with a 10% discount for one week only.
“We’re ecstatic about the launch of Pneuma on both Xbox & PC. We can’t wait to see players’ reactions to Pneuma when they unearth the games deepest secrets. What's best is that, we hope, the players who finish the game will have their own unique take on the experience and be able to create their own theories about Pneuma and his world... and maybe even question their own”
