Today, May 8, Indie developer Might and Delight announced that a DLC for Shelter 2 is in the making. The add-on package, which will include a new mountain area along with several new prey and predators, will be available on Steam this summer.
The world of Shelter 2 is growing. Mountains is an add-on package that introduces a vast highland area and a strong new fauna that can act as both predators and prey. Amongst others, the eagle from the first Shelter makes a rousing return.
The Lynx mother Inna and her cubs discovers a new area on their journey. A vast mountain landscape where dense lowland forests leads up to the vistas of the mountain tops. But they are not alone on the high peaks. The fauna here blur the line between predators and prey, and the Lynx family must use both wits and agility to overcome the challenges of this new world.

About Shelter 2
Shelter 2 is an open world adventure game that portrays the life cycle of a mother lynx, starting as a pregnant animal preparing her den for the coming litter, giving birth, and continuing on to a journey of parenthood where nurturing her cubs is paramount to survival. Shelter 2 is a spiritual sequel to Shelter (released on PC 2013), but includes more elaborate gameplay features than its predecessor, such as stamina, different types of movements, jumps, and a variety of prey to kill. Besides hunting there are several maternal features such as calling the cubs closer, feeding them, and making sure they drink water from rivers. Shelter 2 is set to be released March 9th, 2015.
