IMGN.PRO is excited to announce that Kholat has entered the final production stage and will see its global release on 10th of June 2015. The developers have prepared a short trailer showcasing Kholat's open-world environment, which you can check out below.
Kholat will be available worldwide via digital distribution. IMGN.PRO with the help of its partners is also preparing a retail version of Kholat available in select regions including: the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
Kholat is a FPP storytelling / experience game, developed by independent studio IMGN.PRO, inspired by true events known as the "Dyatlov Pass Incident". It follows the path of a group of Russian students who go on an expedition in the northern Ural Mountains. The team does not reach its goal, as the entire crew dies in mysterious circumstances.
A rescue expedition is sent out, and they find the tent, cut open from the inside. The students' bodies, only partially dressed, are found within a radius of several hundred meters. Everything points to some kind of event that caused sudden panic, which led to the tragic, chaotic escape. In most cases, they've frozen to death, but some bodies show other strange signs of trauma. The player is thrown into the area where the tragedy occurred, years after the actual event, with the chance to discover the true course of the tragic events.
