It's finally here! Today, Bethesda Softworks formally announced Fallout 4, one of the most highly anticipated games in the world. This will be the first game in the decades-long series to be featured on new consoles. The world premiere of the game will take place at Bethesda's E3 Showcase on June 14th at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California, starting at 7pm PDT. The event will be livestreamed around the world on YouTube and Twitch as well.
Bethesda Game Studios is developing Fallout 4 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC under the direction of Todd Howard. This will be the first game from the studio since 2011's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Todd Howard says: “We know what this game means to everyone. The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”
No word yet on the specific setting, or any new gameplay features. We're going to have to wait till E3 for most of that. Go to www.fallout4.com for more information, and check out the trailer below. It looks amazing.
