So they've announced the official date for QuakeCon 2016 next year in Dallas. The following is from the press release:
WHAT: QuakeCon welcomes thousands of gamers from around the world each year for a four-day video game festival featuring North America’s largest BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN Party. Created by a group of friends in 1996 and recently celebrating its 20th year, QuakeCon has grown to become a premiere gaming festival with the 2015 event welcoming more than 12,000 people through the doors. QuakeCon 2016 is open to the public and attendance is FREE for general attendees thanks to the support of id Software and Bethesda Softworks, the QuakeCon volunteer staff, and the event sponsors and exhibitors.
WHEN: QuakeCon will take place Thursday, August 4 – Sunday, August 7, 2016.
