Today, Ubisoft announced that Hungry Shark World, the newest installment in the successful franchise developed by Future Games of London, is now available on the App Store and Google Play.
Following the success of the previous Hungry Shark Evolution, this new installment gives players the hungriest experience yet by introducing three all-new immersive locations, from the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Islands to the icy depths of the Arctic Ocean and chaotic Arabian Sea. Each level comes with a wide array of prey and enemies to devour that are unique to each environment.
The game features 17 unique shark species to upgrade, each with its own characteristics and personality. Players will progress each shark through seven ranks by completing missions and earning gold coins to level up their sharks. Each rank of shark offers unlockable special abilities such as destroying walls, eating bigger or stronger prey, accumulating higher combo bonuses and acquiring pets to help chomp though even more prey.
Hungry Shark World expands on the previous game with new mechanics such as Mega Rush—the more destructive, older brother of the beloved Gold Rush—which gives players a competitive edge and pushes them to drive their scores even higher. The new instalment also introduces Super Shoals, large groups of fish that allow your shark to eat more than 100 prey in one gulp. Release your inner scavenger hunter by collecting all the HUNGRY letters to boost your shark up to Super-Size mode and be the number one Hungry Sharker by taking part in the level, global and Facebook leaderboards.
Built using the Unity 3D mobile game engine, Hungry Shark World boasts striking 3D models, lighting and beautifully rich environments. Each in-game model has been meticulously constructed and animated for accurate design and movement.
Hungry Shark World is compatible with iPhone 5 or later, iPad Mini 2 or later, iPad Air or later, iPod sixth generation or later and devices running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or above.
