From Drix Studios:
Drix Studios, an independent game development company based in the Philippines, has submitted to Steam Greenlight the game Unaided: 1939, a hardcore Top-Down shooter with stealth elements, set in the year 1939 before the start of World War II.
"As a gamer, I enjoyed playing Metal Gear and other classic shooter games. One day, I saw a cool youtube video by Corridor Digital about a 3D live-action, top-down shooter. In awe, I quickly made a 3D top-down shooter prototype using Unreal Engine 4. Seeing as the game could potentially be a hit top-down game such as Metal Gear and Hotline Miami, I decided to pursue developing the game full-time after graduating from college."
Unaided:1939, as the name suggests, is a challenging game. Your wits and reactions will be tested. Bullets are deadly and your enemies don't think twice in firing. You can go in guns blazing, throwing grenades, and shooting vehicles until they explode. However, you can also take a more stealthy approach, taking down guards from behind, or sneaking past patrols. You choose how you approach each mission.
The game also has an interesting storyline and set of characters. You will witness Germany in all its glory just before the outbreak of World War II. Play the role of Vita Banks as she encounters impossible odds and daring missions all alone.
The game follows the premise that Germany has not yet attacked Poland but tensions have already risen in central Europe. As Vita, cut off from her agency and contacts, you alone must do your part in weakening the Nazis and stopping this war before it even begins.
“Vita is a strong and independent woman, much like how famous female game characters are such as Lara Croft, and we wanted to really show that in-game. She uses weapons ranging from the classic silenced pistol, to the tank destroyer Panzerfuast, to the old school bare hands.” says Justin Hendrix Villegas, Founder of Drix Studios.
