From ZiMAD:
Independent developer ZiMAD today announced that its free-to-play, online collectible card game (CCG), Star Crusade: War for the Expanse is now available on Steam and iOS, and is expected to hit Android devices soon. Star Crusade puts players in control of six mighty factions, all vying for control of the galaxy. The game is fully cross-compatible and allows playing from the same account on any device.
Featuring over 400 playable cards, Star Crusade offers a deep and highly customizable card battle in a rich sci-fi universe with multiple play modes, including single-player matches, ranked matches and random draft “raid” battles. The game also emphasizes strategic deck construction by letting players vary the size of their decks from 25 to 40 cards. Since the deck size determines starting player health, smaller decks can develop quicker, while larger decks have more survivability. Star Crusade also offers “Modules”, a unique game mechanic that allows players to further customize their abilities before battle, as well as an “Energy” resource, which lets players enhance cards with additional powers. Tournaments and various game events are also available.
“We are very excited to officially launch Star Crusade, which, with its customizable features, strategic deck construction and modules, offers CCG fans a ton of variety in their play style”, said ZiMAD producer Alex Rechevskiy. “This game is the culmination of years of development and polish, and players can expect new single and multiplayer content to be added to the game in the coming months”.
Star Crusade: War for the Expanse features hundreds of distinctive cards with more to come in the form of expansions, offering deep strategic options for CCG veterans while still remaining accessible for newcomers. The game’s fast-paced combat and countless combinations of card and faction-specific tactics, supported by frequent content updates, will offer limitless strategy.
