We have the honor to present you a brand new work-in-progress teaser showing a next set of new animations – longsword combat! Though the new animations aren't in the game yet, most of our team members are working on implementing and polishing them. Such an awesome feeling of combat and realism of moves, which are based on authentic techniques of medieval swordsmen, couldn’t be achieved without the awesome work of Jakub Kisiel, known from his work on many games such as Gears of War and The Witcher 3, where he animated Geralt himself.
Over the last few updates we focused on the new player experience, adding a lot of content for newcomers. Thanks to this, new players can smoothly learn the basic mechanics of the game, such as combat, gathering resources and crafting necessary equipment. We have also implemented a brand new Glory system. Glory allows all players to compete in a complex ranking system, climbing up the rank table ladder by performing numerous in-game activities. By the end of each season the best players of each server will earn unique rewards, such as unique titles or an ability to reset distribution of the attribute points.
The next update is going to introduce great improvement of the settlements upgrading system. Changes include implementation of upgradable main tower, central point of each town and castle, as well as an ability to build and upgrade crafting workshops. Also, upgrading guardhouses and resource nodes, such as farms, lumbermills or mines, will now come with visible changes in their architecture. These changes will first be applied in few currently available locations which our designers have fully reworked into new system, greatly increasing their defense values, However, once all settlements are redesigned, we will be able to add new ones much faster.
