From Versus Evil and Stoic:
Versus Evil, a leading indie video game publisher in partnership with indie developer Stoic, today announced the release of the Banner Saga 2’s challenging game addition, Survival Mode on PlayStation 4 and to the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program. The newly released Survival Mode throws down the ultimate challenge in turn based combat battle tactics, pushing players to the limit as they try to survive 40 back to back combat levels. Console gamers who already purchased Banner Saga 2 can buy the Survival Mode addition for $4.99/ €4.99/ £3.99. The Banner Saga Complete Pack which includes both The Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 games will also now include the additional Survival Mode DLC for an SRP of $37.99/ €37.99/ £31.99.
The epic Viking role-playing strategy game, which was recently nominated for a 3rd BAFTA award, takes gamers on a brutal journey of survival across a breaking world where the choices they make directly affects their personal journey. The 3rd and final installment of the trilogy is currently in development following a recent successful Kickstarter campaign which blew past its initial funding goal in under a week.
“Adding the Survival Mode DLC to consoles is going to extend the Banner Saga experience for our fans,” commented Steve Escalante, General Manager at Versus Evil. “Survival Mode is pure strategy and is catered to those who want to get into epic viking battles. The Stoic team has been nominated for Best Strategy Game with each Banner Saga 1 and 2 release so it is only fitting there is a mode that truly focuses on this game play. We are excited customers can play the challenging Survival Mode for the first time on console!” he added.
