From Mad Otter Games:
Mad Otter Games, the independent developer behind cross-platform MMORPG Villagers and Heroes, have today announced that the hugely ambitious Starfall expansion will launch on September 27th, 2017 for Andriod with an iOS version of the gaming coming in the fall.

The Starfall expansion is a massive update to Villagers & Heroes, bringing a huge amount of improvements and new features - a level cap raise and new zones, a completely revamped loot system, a new leveling system with new talent trees and feats for all classes, and countless other additions such as a new world map, mobile improvements, and more.

Upon launch day, players are set to receive an all new free mount, free sockets, talent reset potions and a free outfit. Launch day will be ready for all players, but the massive changes to old systems with new additions will make certain items and content have some changes which players should be aware of.

Patch Day
Some things will happen on patch day which all players may be affected by:

  • Auctions: All auctions will be canceled. Items will be sent back to the seller regardless of current bids. All auction fees - deposits and bids - will be refunded.
  • Mail: Pending mail with items will be bound to their recipient.
  • Gear in community vaults: All equipable combat gear in community vaults will be deleted. We recommend that you take these items out of your community vault and store them on a character. This only applies to combat gear, and only community vaults!
Refunds
The following items will be removed, but give you refunds in return:
  • Enhancement Runes: For each enhancement rune on an item, you will receive a full refund of its original gold cost.
  • Gnogmented gear: Any gold spent on gnogmenting items on your character or in your inventory will be fully refunded. This only applies to your most recent gnogmentation of a given item.
  • Item Shop items with talents are not in the game anymore: Any of these items you have will give you a full refund of Crowns.
Converted Items
These items will be converted into equivalents and returned to you:
  • Elder Gear: These will be returned as separate gear.
  • Items with cosmetic feats: These will be converted into toys.
  • Sockets spent on gnogmenting: Any paid sockets used to gnogment currently owned items will be returned separately.

Combat Gear
Any combat gear you have will be converted into Stardust - a special currency which you can use to get new, powerful items. How much Stardust you get will depend on how much gear you have and how powerful it is, but you will always receive enough to get more than the value of your original items.

Although your gear will be converted to Stardust, husks of their appearance will remain. These husks will be level 1 and will have no stats or talents, but they will have exactly the appearance of the original item; allowing them to be gnogmented to preserve your look. All of your saved outfits and event appearances will be perfectly safe!

Accessible from Ardent City and Summer's Hollow, there is a new Starfall zone in which you can exchange your Stardust for Armaments. These are items which generate combat gear for you - always powerful, and with the chance to be of truly epic strength.

Legacy Enchantments
  • If you have legacy enchantment items that are unused, you'll need to use them. By unused, we mean still attached to an item. If you already have the enchantment on your character, there is nothing to worry about.
  • If you have an item that has an unused version of Yorick's Fervor rank 1 (legacy version), it will be replaced with the new current version of Yorick's Fervor.
  • If you have an item that contains any form of Winged Helm Speed, it will be totally lost. Use it or lose it
  • If you have an item that contains any form of Fleet Feet (cheetah boots, winged slippers), it will be totally lost. Use it or lose it.
  • Just to be clear: If you already have the enchantment on your character, YOU WILL NOT LOSE IT. This is only for UNUSED enchantments.

Converted Items
Certain old bundle items are being removed from the system. You'll need to open up the contents prior to the patch in order to either keep the items or be credited with having them. As long as you have already opened the bundle, all items within will be converted, kept, or reimbursed. If you do not have the bundle open, the item (and all within) will be lost! None of these items have been sold for years, so you have nothing to worry about if you are a newer player.

  • Christmas Outfit Packages from more than 2014 or before.
  • Halloween Outfit Packages from more than 2014 or before.
