Tokyo Dark has arrived!

Tokyo Dark, a point and click horror title from Square Enix/Cherrymochi game studios is a mystery-adventure-horror game that gained traction, then blew the roof off their kickstarter campaign. The finished product is available for PC on Steam now.

I for one am pumped and you better believe we'll have a review soon. This sounds close enough to Eternal Darkness to get me salivating.

Featuring the S.P.I.N. system, which measures Sanity, Professionalism, Intelligence and Neurosis, Tokyo Dark promises psychological horror, creeping dread, and eleven possible endings. Players assume the role of  Ayami Itō, a detective who is desperate to solve the disappearance of her partner. Your journey to uncover the truth will take you deep into the seedy underworld of Tokyo, as you fight to retain your sanity in the face of unreal visions and supernatural elements.

Here's a little more info, and what Square Enix has to say:

Influenced by games like The Cat Lady and Never Ending NightmaresTokyo Dark’s anime style opens up an immersive 2D world where the player is focused on finding the truth without losing their mind in the process.
Dialogue choices steer the story in different directions, changing Itō’s interactions with key characters and altering the game’s conclusion. Puzzles can also be solved in multiple ways, ensuring players can find their own path as they play.

“We think Tokyo Dark has the potential to energise the horror genre, with Cherrymochi’s take on point-and-click a whole lot darker than the kind of titles you see from most developers,” says Phil Elliott, Director of Community & Indie Development at Square Enix“That’s ultimately what Square Enix Collective is about: giving gamers fresh takes on genres they love.”
