If you haven't heard of I Expect You To Die, then you have been missing out on one of the best VR experiences of the year.
I Expect You To Die combines spy-games with VR puzzles as players assume the role of a 007 style secret agent trying to beat the bad guy (the nefarious Dr. Zor) while surviving death defying puzzles using brain over brawn. The game has already picked up some awards, including best gameplay, best VR experience, and best game design.
The expansion, First Class has your super-spy aboard a relaxing train to India as you unwind after a mission. Of course, nothing is as it seems, the villains are hot on your trail, time is short, and there is no way that stewardess is going to get back with your drink before you have to start kicking a boat-load of ass (via puzzle-solving).
Read the official announcement and watch the trailer below. I Expect You To Die: First Class is available for the PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.
Official Announcement:
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (October 24, 2017) — Calling all hardworking agents in need of some relaxation...it is time for a vacation.
In ‘First Class,’ agents are whisked away on a luxury train for a little respite from their typical spy duties. This vacation will take them to Shimla, high in the mountains of India. On the way they will enjoy majestic views and first class service, while meeting interesting people and savoring exotic delicacies. Everything should go according to plan...or not.
In conjunction with the launch of this new content, the company is offering a week-long discount on the game on all platforms. The game retails for $24.99 USD, but will be on sale for $19.99 USD, a 20% reduction. This sale begins on October 24.
Along with this new level, agents face four additional levels, including being confined inside their evil nemesis Dr. Zor’s car, trapped high on a window washing platform, submerged deep underwater in a submarine, and cornered inside a booby-trapped hunting lodge. Each level delivers a treacherous and immersive experience, along with plenty of humor and the occasional cigar. A special credits sequence at the beginning of the game readies players for upcoming missions and the dangers that lie ahead.
