Sony and Insomniac are making a new game, and the newest trailer makes me hope that they are finally going to get a Spider-man title right.

Also, Miles Morales makes an appearance, and it looks like he may have a more substantial role than everyone thought. I have no idea where they are going to go with that, but it's good to see him finally make an appearance a game.

Mr. Negative shows up in the trailer as well, and it's nice to see them mixing up the villains a bit, but it still isn't clear who the ultimate heavy weight villain is going to be.

As always, I will hang onto my excitement. I think my favorite Spider-man game was the ultimate Spider-man title for gamecube, and even that wasn't all that great.

Everyone keeps comparing the Spider-man games to The Arkham games, but that's not what I want. I know that you gotta throw a little stealth in there, but no one has really managed to capture what it's like to be Spider-man like they did with Batman. Batman skulks in the shadows, striking like a ninja. Spider-man should be leaping head-first into the fray, not stalking around the rafters every two minutes.

Plus, he always comes off as pretty annoying, and the writers always make the mistake of making his "funny" quips come every thirty seconds, ad naseum. Also, they are never funny.

Take a look at the trailer, see what you think. Spider-Man is slated for a 2018 release on PS4.

That you didn't think the Treyarch games already nailed Spider-Man says maybe you aren't the one I should be listening to about Spider-Man games. As for Miles Morales, or any of the other extended Spiderverse gimmick knockoffs (such as the particularly pukeworthy Spider-Gwen), the less we see of them going forward the better.
