With the last Planet of the Apes film raking in the critical acclaim (and profits), hopes are high for the $30 PS4 title.
Billed as an "interactive adventure narrative" it seems that the games division of The Imaginarium (the studio run by Andy Serkis) is hoping to blend the line between the film and the game in a Telltale-esque way. Players make conversational and action-based choices instead of directly controlling the game's characters, and the game promises multiple endings and outcomes depending on the decisions you make.
Planet Of The Apes: Last Frontier is set after the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and follows a faction of apes taking refuge in the mountains to escape the human/ape war. As the temperatures plummet and food becomes scarce, they are forced to descend the mountain towards the human encampments below. Players assume the roles of both apes and humans, which is sure to present some interesting moral quandaries.
Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier releases tomorrow for PS4.
