Thank you, SEGA Forever! Classic beat-em-up, Streets of Rage was just added to the SEGA Forever collection, a bunch of classic SEGA titles that you can play for free, as long as you don't mind seeing a few ads. All the games in the SEGA Forever collection can be downloaded for free from the App Store for iPhone and iPad, or from the Google Play Store for Android devices. If you're the type of gamer who cannot stand to see ads, you can cough up $3 and get rid of em.
I am assuming everyone knows this game, but if not, let me take you to school. Streets of Rage came out in 1991, and blew everyone's mind by the sheer amount of ass-kicking on display. It became a sweet trilogy, with every game kind of getting a little worse than the last, Double Dragon style, but they are all still fun. At one point, I think it's the third game, you can be a kid on rollerblades, kicking the shit out of everyone with skates. So...there's that.
