This game looks atmospheric, moody, frantic and above all, good. Bring it on. Feels like I have been waiting for something like this since Left 4 Dead 2 (I know Killing Floor 2, I see you standing there, calm down).
10 Chambers Collective (the guys behind PAYDAY), a relative newbie in the industry, showed off their first gameplay footage from GTFO and not only does it look atmospheric and intense (check out the trailer below), but Adam Gascoine (The Last Of Us) is involved as the game's writer.
Adam had this to say about the story and narrative:
"The narrative of GTFO encourages exploration and discovery. The more you play a character, the more you learn about them - like how they ended up as scavengers trying to survive in this grisly and disturbing underworld called The Complex," says Adam Gascoine, writer of GTFO.
Promising an "unrivaled unpredictability and replayability", players will never know which way the monsters are coming from or where they are; tunneling, smashing through doors or crawling along the ceiling. The game has a hard emphasis on cooperation, promising that you will die, and badly, if you don't cooperate. The game's slogan is, after all, "Work together or die together".
GTFO is out in 2018 and can already be found on Steam.
