The demo gives you access to the opening chapters of the game, which is a pretty perfect chunk, for your, "do I want to buy this?" barometer. The opening chapters have a good mix of the game's tighter, linear nightmare levels, as well as some open, more expansive streets of the Union. At the end of the trial you can upgrade to the full game and keep all your saved data.
The Evil Within 2 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game follows Sebastian Castellanos, the protagonist from the first game, as he is pulled back into the twisted, nightmarish world of STEM by a shadowy organization of creepy dudes to rescue his daughter (daughters are flat-out, always getting kidnapped).
