Far Cry 5: The Resistance is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC early next year, and the newest trailer gives you a glimpse into the game's setting, which takes place in America, a first for the series. You assume the role of the new junior deputy of Hope County, Montana, where, unfortunately, your arrival coincides with the last stages of a fanatical doomsday cult's violent takeover of the country. So... that's not good. As usual, you end up under siege, cut off from help and you need to hook up with the locals and start a resistance. Kind of par for the course, but that's Far Cry for you.
There's also a special edition on the way, called the "Resistance Edition", for the low, low price of two-hundred bucks! It includes the Gold version, which has the core game, the season pass, extra content and a special Steelbook package. Also included is a 16.5 inch statue featuring Nick Rye, one of the side characters in the game, along with his dog, Boomer. You also get a super rare United States flag bandana, and a Hope County beer koozie, pin and various postcards.
Far Cry 5: The Resistance will be available March 27, 2018.
