Oh, China. You and your reckless censorship.
ValveTime first broke the story, and it has now been confirmed; since Friday, China has blocked several of Steam’s services that rely on the Community to function. While players can still access Steam itself (including the Steam store), the Steam Community page, which is tied to every Steam game's forum, user profiles, inventory pages, achievements and basically anything social is inaccessible.
Chinese gamers are still able to buy new games and play the ones they've paid for, but the games' hub pages are blank. Generally, Chia uses this tactic when they want something; agree to their terms, or else.
This, unfortunately, is the "or else".
We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available, and you can look at the tweet and a little more info here.
Community ,like church is not allowed in this country that a lot of people are giving their money to every-time you buy some cheap tat or some rip-off version of someone's hard work..
It's seen as a threat to the masters.
