Serious story and tactical RPG fans are going to have a good time with Ash of Gods, coming March 2018 from Aurum Dust. Ash of Gods combines gorgeous art, tactical combat, and a powerful story that plays out via player decisions, so no two playthroughs will be the same. As part of today's unveiling (doesn't that sound fancy?) of Ash of Gods, the creative team at Aurum Dust released a new trailer which features some cinematics and art from the game's intro.
Along with the constantly evolving storyline, the game features hand-drawn characters and environments, coupled with music from Adam Skorupa, whose previous work includes The Witcher, Bulletstorm, Painkiller, and EVE Online. Ash of Gods is already getting a lot of street-cred, recently winning ‘Best Game’ at the Game Gathering conference in Kiev, and previously scoring ‘Best Game’ and ‘Best Art’ at White Nights Moscow 2017, as well as ‘Excellence in Music’ and ‘Excellence in Narrative’ at DevGamm Minsk 2017.
Ash of Gods features roguelike storytelling, PVP and PVE multiplayer modes, intelligent AI functionality (the game is supposed to learn how to kick your ass and adapt to your go-to tactics), in addition to the aforementioned hand-drawn graphics. The tactical strategy part of the game is a mix of turn-based strategy and card RPG, where the cards determine your strategy and the characters’ classes determine your tactics on the battlefield
