Now that everyone has calmed down (a little) over the reception of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we can have rational discourse, speculate on rumors and hints, and of course, watch amazing, spoiler packed videos and send each other memes. I know how youse kids like your memes.
This is my favorite piece of fan-made homage that I have come across so far, and maybe that's just because I am old enough to remember the Super Star Wars titles on the SNES, which this clearly borrows from. Of course, obligatory warning about the SPOILERS ahead. You hear that? Spoilers. If I end up with my inbox flooded with complaints that I "Ruined The Last Jedi" for you, I will have exactly three things to say to you:
1) How in the hell have you not seen this film yet?
2) What is wrong with you?
3) I told you there were going to be spoilers. I. Told. You.
That said, (SPOILERS APPROACHING IN 3...2...1) this five minute video depicts Luke's fateful march up to the First Order, him thumbing his nose at barrel-chested Kylo, and the aftermath of said "confrontation", all lovingly rendered in 16-bit, Super-Nintendo style graphics, complete with awesome old school sound effects. Big props to Mr. Sunday Movies for releasing this gem on an unsuspecting public.
Watch the video below, then immediately begin arguing all over again with your friends about how awesome/lame it was, how Luke's death was perfectly fitting/completely stupid, how the series has totally lost its way/gotten better and how excited/excited you are to see the end of the trilogy.
