Digerati Distribution, in partnership with K Bros Games, just announced that their atmospheric 2D puzzle-platformer, Albert & Otto is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 10th (Xbox) and January 16/17 (PS4).
Initially released on PC as the first of four planned episodes, they ran out of money and couldn't finish the series, which is a shame. K Bros Games is hoping that a console release will pique interest in the title, and earn them some green to finish the series the way they always planned to.
The game itself is set in 1939 Germany, and centers on a boy and his abducted sister's magical bunny, which is... odd. They embark on a journey to find her, overcoming murderous beasts and lethal puzzles by working together, just like you would expect two best friends to do, one of whom is a bunny, the other a boy. The game has a unique mechanic utilizing a little bunny which the player can carry around or leave and/or remotely control in order to solve puzzles, and the story is inspired by some pretty dark historical events, all told through a child's drawings and clues scattered throughout the game.
Albert & Otto comes to PS4 and Xbox One in January.
