Furi has been getting excellent reviews on Steam, so the upcoming Switch release is pretty highly anticipated for such a small game. This sword-fighting, twin-stick style shooter has been praised for its difficulty, aesthetic and its addictive combat. The gameplay is of the "simple to learn, difficult to master" variety, with a dashing mechanic that looks like it's borrowed from Stryder, a pistol that is only effective at certain moments in battle, and your blade, which you use to slash, stab and parry your way through almost a dozen challenging bosses. Furi has a great, neon, Tron-like look to it, and the characters are designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, who does great work.
The Switch edition includes the boss roster-expanding “One More Fight” DLC, the option to speedrun its ultra-challenging "Furier" difficulty mode, and all the improvements and updates previously added to the game. In short, this edition will be fully loaded.
Grab your copy in the Nintendo Switch eshop on January 11th.
