You know you've just been waiting for an excuse to break Skyrim out again. Even though the game came out in 2011, Bethesda has kept busy with DLCs, expansions, and ports, most recently coming to the Nintendo Switch. It's not hard to see why; Skyrim is amazing, and it's one of those games you can just pick up after months of inactivity and find something fun to do within ten minutes of wandering around. Every time I dust off the 360 controller and boot it up, I end up lost in the game-world for an hour or so, questing for loot, killing bandits, or just setting wildlife on fire. It's almost always a good time.
Since 2015, there has been a group of dedicated fans working on a DLC-sized mod for Skyrim called Lordbound. Lordbound is a massive story expansion for Skyrim, with 30+ hours of original content, and they have just released a new trailer for their mod, which is looking pretty amazing. In Lordbound, you travel to the valley of Druadach and embark on a quest to bring peace to the war-torn region. The mod offers a brand new region, new weapons and armor, faction quest-lines, side-quests, dungeons and more.
Take a look at the trailer below, Lordbound doesn't have a release date yet, but the mods are hopeful for a release this year.
