New magic-based battle arena title, Ignis, just got a new trailer to showcase it's rapid-fire gameplay. Promising to have duels that are "shorter, faster and more intense than you have ever seen", Ignis places you in a battle arena where you have to juggle multiple spells and casting cool-downs, while furiously dodging your opponents attacks and attempting to protect yourself with arcane magics like mystical shields. You'll be multi-casting magical missiles, fireballs, familiar summons and more, while raining down chaos with meteor showers, area-of-effect spells and curses, plus upgrading your spells on the fly.
The game has a unique control system, where you can flexibly determine the path of your magical projectiles by using a mouse or a gamepad analog stick, bending your attacks and spells for maximum effect. You'll be able to whip attacks around your opponent's barriers and shields and set yourself up for victory by tactically choosing which spells you want to use before each fight. You can hone your mastery of magic in several variants of the single player mode, as well as in local split-screen and ranked online multiplayer modes.
Ignis will be released in the fourth quarter of 2018 on Steam.
