Vegas Party has a very strange description for a game that sounds like it should be completely straight-forward. Promising to "take the player into the gambling-friendly universe of this over-the-top version of Las Vegas city", the game is set up as a race, where the goal is to reach the end of the strip before anyone else. This right here is a little odd to me, since I naturally assumed the point was to win, or at the very least, not lose all your money.
Vegas Party has you managing your token account throughout ten gambling minigames, from black jack to Texas holdem, baccarat, bingo and more. You also must "avoid dangers, like twisters and earthquakes, while taking advantage of your gambling skills and your good luck." You are also supposed to "trust no one" and "forget the meaning of the word mercy", because in Vegas, there is no mercy. That part at least sounds 100% correct. I have been to Vegas twice, and I was shown no mercy either time.
The gambling title boasts 4 person multiplayer, 10 mini games, 17 casinos with 18 original environments, over the top depictions of Vegas tropes, and apparently it's family friendly, so I doubt you'll be stopping at the red light district.
Vegas Party is out now for PS4 and the Vita, with a Switch launch on the way.
