Publisher and mobile game developer, FourThirtyThree Inc. just announced that the closed beta test for DC Unchained is set to begin today. The closed beta will run from January 10 through January 17 and will be exclusively available in South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong.
Developed by ThumbAge and officially licensed from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Unchained is kind of DC's answer to Marvel Heroes, a similar action-RPG that was killed over Christmas. The game is a collectible action role-playing game based on DC’s iconic characters and stories.
Offering up 30 playable Super Heroes and Super Villains, the roster includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker and Harley Quinn among others, each with his or her own signature moves, abilities and costumes. Multiple game modes give players the opportunity to delve into the world of DC Comics, and DC Unchained features a story mode with 60 different stages, in addition to other gameplay modes such as a time attack, wave defense and real-time PvP and co-op modes, all available for the closed beta.
“Throughout the test period, we will carefully check the game’s balance and functionality along with network latency and stability,” commented In-Woo Park, ThumbAge’s lead game PM.
Give the trailer a watch below, DC Unchained is slated for release in March 2018.
