Bandai Namco is asking players to rage-quit all over again… and again, and again…
Head back to the brutal, unforgiving, straight-up treacherous land of Lordran with Dark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One! This game needs very little introduction, but just in case you haven’t had the pleasure of whipping your controller into a wall when you die for the 8 millionth time, allow me to educate you.
Dark Souls is one of the hardest games I’ve ever played. I actually played it the first time for 8 hours, quit for 3 months, picked it up and played 10 hours then quit again, swearing to never come back, like I was trying to get distance from a crazy ex I knew I was always going to go back to at 2am. Finally, after intense convincing from my brother, I picked it up again, and everything clicked. I got swept away; in the difficulty, the world, the lore, the melee combat, the spells, you name it. This game is amazing, but it will absolutely punish you to death. Literally. And then you'll come running back for more.
Dark Souls: Remastered offers an upscaled 4K resolution with 60FPS when playing on the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC, while the Switch gets 1080p resolution with 30FPS when playing on the TV mode. You’ll get to see that gargantuan boss crushing your hopes and dreams in vivid, crisp detail, and you can also scream at the beautifully rendered skeletons as you are once again killed by a weak enemy because you got in a hurry.
Hidden in the world of Dark Souls: Remastered are nine online covenants to uncover that will motivate your online interactions. Collaboration or confrontation, support or betrayal, this game has it all, and you are going to die a million times while you figure it all out. Up to six players can join together online to help, or hurt, each other throughout their quest.
Dark Souls: Remastered will be available on 25th May, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC.
