We just wrote about Yume Nikki, the super popular, minimalist title from over ten years ago that (arguably) deals with isolation, loneliness, depression, dreamworlds, or none of the above. The game just popped up on Steam, with a counter that is ticking down towards a new project.
Well, today, this “trailer” popped up, and if you have played Yume Nikki, it will make a lot of sense to you, insofar as it doesn’t really make a lot of sense. It's an 8+ minute trailer with surreal colors and whorls, strange static bars and menacing tones. Much like the game, the trailer is mainly about ambiance and mood, and less about anything else.
Give the trailer a watch, and we’ll keep you updated as the timer continues to tick down towards no one knows what.
