This neon colored bad-boy sold more than 600,000 copies while in Steam Early Access, so the developers at Motion Twin wisely decided to go for a console release. A roguevania action-platformer, Dead Cells places you in a sprawling, ever-changing castle, guarded by badass bosses that you won't be able to button mash your way past. Dead Souls players will feel right at home with the brutal difficulty and constant deaths, while the looming threat of perma-death, fast-paced combat and lack of checkpoints keep things fresh. Kill, die, learn, repeat. Git gud.
No word yet on an exact release date or a console price, but we did get a few words from the producer at Motion Twin, Steve Filby:
"We're thrilled to finally confirm that we'll be bringing the Dead Cells experience to console players. We're proud of what we've done with the help of the PC community and can't wait to see how the gaming community at large react. We'll be at Pax East next April, so come say hi! You might even get a sneak peek at the game on the console."
Dead Cells will release for PS4, Xbox One and Switch in 2018.
