We reviewed This Is The Police a while back, and really enjoyed it. It looks like a lot of other people did too, because we've got a sequel coming our way already.
This time around, you take on a new sheriff position as Lilly Reed, a woman who is about to have her hands full. She'll need to maintain order and peace even though her subordinates are asshole men's men who don't like being told what to do, least of all by a young woman. Everything changes when a mysterious stranger named Warren Nash appears in Sharpwood, but will he be part of the problem or part of the solution?
This Is the Police 2 is a mix of adventure and management, and this time around there are some new mechanics that will add to both the strategic and tactical parts of the game. It won't be enough to just manage the equipment of your men and keep track of their individual skills, hoping for the best. Everything requires your attention and participation, and no matter what you do, your decisions will impact every action in the game. Your subordinates are deeper and more complex, mimicking real people, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices, and you'll have to sort them all out and keep your force together if Sharpwood is going to survive.
This Is the Police 2 will be released later this year on PC/Mac, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
