This shouldn't be surprising news to anyone that's been following the reviews of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game has been getting pretty stellar reviews, and it's safe to say that the new fighter is a hit. The Evolution Championship Series (Evo for short) is one of the largest and longest-running fighting game tournaments in the world. Evo brings together the best fighters from around the world (much like Street Fighter, but this is real life) to slug it out and prove who is the best digital fighter. Evo is open to anyone, and features stations available for relaxed free play, where you can meet other enthusiasts and talk shop in-between trying to beat each other to death.
Now, it's Dragon Ball FighterZ's turn to get in on the rumble, joining this year's EVO 2018 Championship, which is running August 3-5 in Las Vegas. More details about prizes and specifics are on the way, in the meantime, you better get practicing, for those tasty bragging rights and sweet cash prizes.
Here is the official list of games for this year's tournament:
- Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition
- Tekken 7
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
