Turn-based combat and stealth comedy title, Attack of the Earthlings, has released for the PC, with a new launch trailer to go along with it.
In Attack of the Earthlings, the humans behind Galactoil - a hysterically dysfunctional interstellar energy corporation - have traveled light years to Planet X13 and parked a gigantic space-drill to mine for fossil fuel reserves, drink margaritas and hunt giant insects. Unfortunately, they accidentally flattened a native species' home and now the surviving "Swarmers" are out for blood.
Set up as a darkly comedic bloodbath, the single player campaign is influenced by "The IT Crowd" and "Father Ted", if that gives you any insight into what type of humor they are going for. You'll take control of the "Swarmers", a highly aggressive insectoid species who converts human flesh into alien muscle, evolve their units to be more dominant, and crash birthday parties. You'll have to plan your attacks carefully, emerging from vents and lockers to take your human prey by surprise, and ambush multiple enemies at once to remain undetected. The more earthlings you kill, the more corpses can be consumed and transformed into new units with specialized roles and unique abilities. The flesh of their own workers is the key ingredient to developing a successful alien insurgency against Galactoil. Gross.
