Indie developer Beautiful Glitch and indie publisher & developer, Those Awesome Guys, are taking a swing at the dating sim genre, albeit in a slightly different way than most. Introducing Monster Prom, a comical 1-4 multiplayer game that pits players against one another in a battle to woo the perfect monster prom-date. Their message? "Being a monster is hard, but finding a date for Monster Prom is harder".
Monster Prom leans hard on their humorous narrative and unique multiplayer. You and up to 3 friends choose your monster personas, then start hunting down a date among 6 possible love interests, and don't worry, it's "non-binary", if that concerns you. You can even date the undead! Figure out which side of this to land on, "woke movement".
Monster Prom Features:
- Multiplayer Dating Sim
- Competition. Set your gaze on one of the sweethearts, but if you share your romantic tastes with your friends, be ready for some stiff competition.
- Fantastically Funny Writing
- Through absurd, postmodern humor, written by Cory O'Brien, Maggie Herskowitz and Julián Quijano, there is no topic Monster Prom won't make fun of, including itself.
- Gorgeous Art
- There's never a dull moment while exploring the beautifully crafted world and characters drawn by Arthur Tien.
- LOTS of funny and absurd situations
- Get into the groove of the local monster high-school through hundreds of events, each one with 4 possible outcomes, which adds up to over 1000 specific situations.
- Freedom of choice
- Monsters don't like boys or girls, they like monsters. The game experience is unaffected by gender or sexual orientation, since finding love is already hard enough.
Monster Prom is planned to release Friday, April 27th 2018 on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux.
