Oh, the "easy to learn, hard to master" handle... it's everywhere these days. This new title from Cardboard Keep, called Attrition: Tactical Fronts promises to be just that.
Moving out of Steam’s Early Access on Wednesday, March 7th, this classic, World War inspired turn-based strategy game for PC, Mac and Linux claims to be accessible and quick to play without sacrificing tactical variety and depth, whether you are playing against the AI or verses a friend online. With procedurally generated skirmish maps and the ability to create and share custom maps with other players via the Steam Workshop, Attrition: Tactical Fronts is looking to be a game that's easy to pickup with a ton of replayability.
Although the game offers "intuitive controls" and an easy to read "outcome indicator" to let you know how likely you are to win an engagement, the game still goes deep, challenging you to master a variety of unit types with distinctive attributes, and manage the battlefield to exploit your strengths and avoid exposing your weaknesses.
Key Features:
- Quick-fire, hex-based, turn-by-turn gameplay, like a digital board game.
- 17 mission single-player campaign with pre-built maps, incorporating a tutorial to learn unit and terrain types and combinations – overcome challenging scenarios and attain mechanical mastery.
