Yume Nikki: Dream Diary is an upcoming re-imaging of the original cult indie hit, Yume Nikki. In the original game, players explore the dreams of a "hikikomori" (a person who prefers to hide in their room instead of facing the outside world) named Madotsuki. While she cannot leave her room due to her almost agoraphobic social anxiety, she can travel while dreaming, where she encounters a number of surrealistic horror creatures and locations.
This prologue is suitably creepy, a mundane jog through a deserted town... until she reaches the end of the road.
Yume Nikki -Dream Diary is coming to PC via Steam and Playism on February 23.
