Starting Thursday, March 8 until Monday, March 12, the closed alpha test of Immortal: Unchained gives players a first look at two locations in the shooter's dark and unforgiving world, while also giving them a taste of the game's combat and tactical gunplay.
Immortal: Unchained is the latest addition to the genre of ultra-hardcore action RPGs. You take on the role of a "living weapon" who has been locked up for millennia, due to being so terrifyingly badass. When a cataclysmic event threatens to end the nine worlds, someone lets you go free. The rest of the game sounds like it will play out as you expect it to; you have to (re)learn how to be effective in combat, killing monsters and testy bosses while trying to figure out who is trying to end reality and why.
“We’re thrilled to offer PC players the first opportunity to go hands-on with Immortal: Unchained next month,” said Robin Flodin, CEO of Toadman Interactive. “We’re taking player feedback incredibly seriously, and we hope that by putting the game into the hands of hardcore action-RPG fans now, we’ll be able to gather feedback that helps us create an even better title in time for launch, and a game that fans of the genre will truly want to play.”
Featuring tactical, up-close action with a combination of ruthless gunplay and vicious melee combat, Immortal: Unchained expects you to die a lot and learn from your mistakes. A variety of builds and weapons let you customize your play style, so you can not only kill good, but do it in a way that makes the most sense to you. Ain't being a living weapon grand?
If this sounds up your alley, you can register for the closed alpha at ImmortalTheGame.com. Immortal: Unchained will be available both digitally and at retail on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam in 2018.
