Rad Rodgers is a beautifully animated throwback adventure title that reminds me a lot of Jazz Jackrabbit (yes, I realize I am old). You assume the role of a little kid named Rad, who plays a gang of video games. In short, he's completely unrelatable. After passing out after a long night of gaming, Rad awakens to find that his dusty console has mysteriously turned itself back on. He's suddenly sucked into his TV, Jumanji-style, where he finds himself in a strange world, starring in his own video game.
At his side is Dusty, Rad's good-hearted but foul-mouthed, suddenly sentient video game console. He's a bit past his prime, but on the plus side, Dusty has seen a lot of games come and go, so he knows how to handle himself. Rad & Dusty have to fight their way through seven dangerous stages of hardcore platforming in a decaying jungle-world, and it's up to the unlikely duo to restore the Elder tree and restore balance to the world.
