Inspired by classic novels like 1984 and Brave New World, Somewhere: The Vault Papers is a real-time narrative game that takes a simple, realistic approach to whistle-blowing espionage. Somewhere: The Vault Papers tells the story of Cat, a journalist in the middle of a Snowden-style whistle-blowing case. After she accidentally gets in touch with you via text message, she continues to contact you, pleading with you to help her investigate the case and keep her alive!
The game features a branching narrative with multiple endings, and it plays out in real-time over the course of several days to enhance immersion and realistically draw you in. Cat will randomly send you messages throughout the day with a series of challenges and tough situations. You'll have to go online to find clues, guide her by using google maps and help her solve puzzles, but there are consequences to helping Cat, and her pursuers are right around the corner.
You can pre-order Somewhere: The Vault Papers on iOS on the App Store, and the game will release on iOS March 8th and Android April 26.
