Moss is an upcoming 2018 virtual reality adventure video game for the PS4, both developed and published by Polyarc. Blending third person and first person gameplay, the primary focus of the title is on exploration and puzzle solving.
The plot is pretty standard fare: while in a library, you find an old book. As you flip through the pages, you're transported to a fantasy land contained within the book. Upon meeting a young mouse named Quill, the two of you set off on an unlikely adventure. You'll use your VR headset to view the action, playing in 1st person mode with your avatar being shown in the game as a masked face and orb. Unlike most games, Quill, the mouse, knows he is being controlled by you. You'll guide him through the game's various environments, finding hidden stuff, navigating obstacles, solving puzzles and battling enemies with his adorable little mouse sword. Since Quill is a mouse, he can't just talk to you, instead communicating with the player through sign language for puzzle hints and various emotional responses.
Moss hits the PS4 tomorrow, the 27th of Feb.
