We wrote a little about this the other day, and we have high hopes for it around the office. Looking a bit like Riven meets P.T., the narrative driven horror title jumps from past to present in the below gameplay video, featuring more slow tension moments than jump-scares, something that is always welcome around here.
The narrative follows a young C.I.A. cryptanalyst named Adam, who relocates to a remote location to work on a soviet code, hoping to turn the tides of the Cold War. Hidden inside the house, Adam finds the diary of Nicolas, a mysterious man living more than hundred years ago, back in the Civil War era. Uncovering a terrible secret, the past comes (as it is wont to do) alive and haunts Adam and his family. Their lives are at stake, you have to figure out how events from the American Civil War are connected to the Cold War, while trying to stop a creepy old man from smashing an axe into your face.
Watch the video below to get a good sense of the gameplay and how the first 20 minutes or so will play out, and donate to their kickstarter (which is nearing completion) here.
