I very much want this to be good, and this new trailer is just pushing my expectations higher and higher. Watch your ass Extinction! Don't write those checks too large!
In all seriousness, Extinction looks like a hell of a good time, and Modus & Iron Galaxy are getting their game out before Attack On Titan 2, which is a smart move, given that both games have you unleashing devastating attacks on giants. Extinction is promising a grip of side missions, a campaign, and some just for fun modes, like a wave based survival type affairs. Plus, you get to chop down giants who are the size the skyscrapers. Ah! What a time to be alive.
Extinction takes place in a world that has been at war for as long as anyone can remember. For generations, humans have fought one another for land and riches, while 150 foot tall monsters waited for their chance to destroy mankind. You are one of the world’s last defenders, a warrior named Avil equipped with the skill, speed and strength to oppose the endless waves of Ravenii (the haters) and prevent a fate worse than death: Extinction.
