In BattleTech, the upcoming turn-based, tactical combat game from Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes, players take the role of the commander of a mercenary company, and that mercenary company? They like to tear shit up. This new video details the systems that will keep you afloat and in the fight, prospering like a baller at the edge of civilized space. Jordan Weisman, the creator of BattleTech, studio manager Mitch Gitelman and game director Mike McCain put together this little video that will show you almost everything in the game, from taking missions and managing your crew, to upgrading your Mechs and raking in the cheese that pays for it all.
The story of BattleTech takes place in the year 3025, and the galaxy is trapped in a cycle of perpetual war, fought by noble houses with enormous, mechanized combat vehicles called BattleMechs. From their space-base of operations, players command a mercenary outfit of Mechs and the MechWarriors who pilot them, struggling to stay afloat as they are drawn into an interstellar civil war.
