Battlechasers: Nightwar came out for PC earlier this year, and we loved it (see our review here). The mix of comic book style graphics and solid turn based RPG combat had the RPG fans in the office all kinds of stoked, and although the game was marred by a fluctuating difficulty level and some glitches, we still thought it was a steal for $30.
Now, Switch owners can see what all the fuss is about when Battlechasers: Nightwar arrives on May 15th. Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an RPG inspired by the classic console greats, featuring deep dungeon diving, turn-based combat presented in a classic JRPG format, and a rich story driven by exploration of the world. The combat features a unique overcharge mana system and Battle Bursts, which livens things up and carves out its own niche away from the classic JRPG formula. Players can explore beautiful, randomly-generated dungeons loaded with traps, puzzles, secrets and loot and an overworld peppered with hidden dungeons, rare bosses and randomly appearing friends and foes. Build your adventuring party by choosing three of six available heroes from the classic Battle Chasers comic series, each with unique abilities, perks, items and dungeon skills.
