Independent developer Massive Work Studio just announced that their cosmic horror action-RPG (that's a mouthful), Dolmen just hit PAX East 2018, and they've also launched their kickstarter. Unlike many projects asking for your money, there is some serious pedigree here, including Abraão Segundo and Alex Oliver, who previously worked on games like Injustice 2, Diablo and World of Warcraft.
Dolmen has players surviving harsh elements and monstrous aliens on a world that is home to the greatest recorded massacre in galactic history. The corpses of those who lived there orbit the planet — like a mass grave suspended in time, which you have to admit, is kind of awesome in a terrible, macabre way. As the sole survivor of a crew of astronauts, pulled from charted space and abducted into a distant future, you awake below the planet's surface with no supplies. You have no answers as to how you got there, or what happened to your crew, or even what year you are in. All you know is that you journey begins in the dark (oooooooooh....)
